Bud & Quentin’s Night Out
Sunday, October 19th, 2008 | Bud Curtis, Quentin Curtis | 1 Comment
Last night Quentin & I went down the road to visit our friends Lisa & Dave, and Lisa’s daughter Electra, for a homemade pizza party. After a long week of Linda having to watch and take care of Quentin while I worked the entire time finishing up a big project for the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council, Linda wanted/needed some time to herself to relax and read a little.
Quentin and I had a great time over at Lisa’s for the 3 hours while we were gone. Quentin loved knocking over Rick B’s intricate architectural creations he would build with Electra’s blocks. And when Lisa put on the Brazilian Girls both Quentin and Electra were cutting a rug to the funky dance beats. I managed to snap a couple pics with my iphone before Quentin saw me with my iphone and thus was more interested in that than dancing at that point.
grabham’s going away party

Just home from the Grabham’s going away party. Great to see everyone, and all the kids running around. Sad they are leaving, but excited for them. Quentin ran around with the bigger kids, danced a bit, got completely overwhelmed and cried. He also ate some spaghetti.  He fell asleep in the car on the way home and I was very glad he had on a fresh diaper and jammies. Bud got him from car to crib and that is where he is at present.
It was Quentin’s first time listening to live music. He wasn’t sure what to make of it.  He really wanted to dance, but just couldn’t get himself to do more than a bounce or two.
The party was out the road and it was a nice peaceful drive. Both ways. I am so glad Quentin is getting more used to the car. There was a ton of food and I ate my fair share. Everyone seemed to enjoy the dips, although the sour cream and onion made from a mix went first. It was an organic mix, in case you were wondering.
All in all it was a very nice evening chatting with friends and enjoying all the families. We look forward to seeing the grabham’s the next time we are in Portland.
