A Short Time Ago, in Our Own Galaxy…

Quentin is obsessed with Star Wars! How did this happen? He’s only 2 years old! I can honestly say that his dad did not use the force to push Quentin into Star Wars. I may have been influential, but I never told him he needed to start getting into Star Wars.
About a month ago Quentin came into my office to see what daddy was doing. I was holding him on my lap while I was doing some work on the computer. That’s when he noticed my 1978 original Kenner R2-D2 & C-3PO action figures I have standing next to my monitors. He said “Robots! Robots!” and wanted to play with them. He didn’t want to give them back either. He played for hours, took them to bed with him, and played with them all the next day. In fact, I was kinda concerned he would break them since they are about 30 years old after all. I decided to go online and order a new set of R2-D2s and C-3POs that could be his.weekend adventures

My camera was getting full of pictures from the past two weekends, so I thought I’d make a quick slide show. The highlights of the past two weeks have been hair cuts, star wars, playtime with friends, and trying to get outside in some very cold weather.
Quentin’s First Hair Cut

We took Quentin to get his first haircut yesterday. At first he was apprehensive about it, but I got him to sit on my lap and read some books and play with some toys. I told him that if he sat still we would go ride the “yellow tractor” at Fred Meyer’s. The barber was really nice and gave him a comb to comb his hair. She would also comb his hair as well, occasionally taking a snip of hair from the back or off his ears. After awhile he was more comfortable and let her trim his bangs in front. Eventually he was all trimmed up and now actually looks like a boy.

Quentin had a great day yesterday. He started out the morning in school, while I ran errands. Then his friend Miles came over and they played with trucks, ate lunch, and played on my old office chair. They love to spin. Then it was nap time. Next up – a play date with Meadow and Elyas at the Taylor’s house. A very full day.
